This project emerged through a series of conversations between the artist Dave Lewis and biopsychosocial psychiatrist Dr Dele Olajide. Despite coming from different theoretical backgrounds, both Lewis and Olajide share a common ground in their attempts to make sense of the impact of current psychiatric thinking and practice on black communities, alongside developing a deeper understanding of the complex and multi-faceted attitudes of these communities to psychiatry.
